“Words can’t quite express how thrilled we were to have Chris as our celebrant and MC (and later, our DJ – which we completely dropped the ball on providing our particular requests until the day of, but he rolled with it regardless!).
Chris went above and beyond in every possible way. He made multiple trips out to our farm, including for our unconventional rehearsal dinner, just to make sure everything felt right. He adapted traditional elements of the ceremony to reflect us – our relationship, our values, and our hopes for the future, and structured things to create a perfect flow. Throughout both the planning and the day itself, he brought a calm and steady presence that we genuinely leaned on, especially given the challenges we faced.
He struck a perfect balance between the weight and significance of the moment and the lighthearted, heartfelt touches that made the ceremony feel personal and real. Somehow, he was always exactly where we needed him to be – offering quiet support and guidance – yet never once felt overbearing or intrusive throughout the entire day.
To give some context: our wedding was held on our own farm, which was completely flooded and inaccessible up until just 12 hours before the ceremony. Nothing was set up. Despite that, Chris remained calm, composed, and reassuring, helping everything come together seamlessly without ever adding to the stress.
From the moment we met him, his warm and approachable nature made us feel at ease. He’s genuine, articulate, intuitive, and completely on the ball. The reflection speech he created for our ceremony was absolutely spot-on – capturing who we are as a couple and the essence of our story better than we ever could have put into words ourselves.
Chris transitioned effortlessly from celebrant to MC, staying in tune with the energy of the day and guiding the flow of events beautifully. He truly seems to love what he does, and it shows in every interaction.
