Do you travel?
Yes, I do! But good grief, those fuel prices these days! I charge a travel fee of $1.00 per kilometre after 50km from my home address. For example, if your ceremony location is 100km from my house, my travel fee would be $50.
What are the legal steps involved in the process?
To begin with, you lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage form that I will provide to you and help you with. I’ll need to see your ID also; a passport is perfect but if you don’t have one, a Birth Certificate and a form of Photo ID (e.g. Drivers Licence, Proof of Age Card etc) is good too. The NOIM needs to be lodged with me no later than one month and one day prior to your wedding date.
Next, you will sign a Declaration of No Legal Impediment form, which confirms that you are validly eligible to marry. We will meet just before your wedding to get this signed.
During the ceremony, you will sign two copies of an Official Certificate of Marriage, as well as your decorative Marriage Certificate for you to keep.
Then, I register your marriage with Births, Deaths and Marriages within 24 hours of your wedding so that you can enjoy newly-wed life stress-free!
How much do you charge for each of your packages?
Every ceremony is unique and tailored to suit your needs, so my fees are also tailored to reflect the unique touches for your ceremony. However, my fees are very competitive and comparable with the current going rate for most celebrants. Feel free to get in contact for a free consult so that I can give you an accurate quote based on your plans.
How long does a ceremony go for?
A Micro/Elopement Ceremony will generally last no more than 10 minutes, with a ceremony as part of my Full and Deluxe Packages lasting for around 20 minutes on average. However, each ceremony is different and tailored to suit your wants and needs; so, it can be as elaborate or as simple as you wish!
What do I need to do to change my name after the wedding?
The certificate you sign and receive on the day of your wedding is not sufficient as legal proof of your marriage. If you wish to provide legal proof of your marriage for purposes such as a name-change, an Official Certificate of Marriage from Births Deaths and Marriages is required.
I am able to order one on your behalf when I register your marriage to save you the stress! Births, Deaths and Marriages charge me a fee of $67.00 for this, so I just ask that you cover this for me. Your certificate will be delivered via Registered Post usually within a week of registration.
Do you provide your own PA system for the ceremony?
Yes! I can even provide and manage playing music throughout your ceremony if you wish.
Are you LGBTQI+ friendly?
Ab…so…lutely!!
Do you have any video of you performing a marriage ceremony or any other services?
My total focus is performing my duties as your Celebrant, Emcee, DJ or any combination of these services to the best of my ability! As a consequence, capturing myself on video is the furthest thing from my mind for the most part. Not a great marketing strategy on my part to be honest! However, the best promotion that I can get is a great review from you after I provide the excellent services that I have become known for.

We’d like to book! What are our next steps?
First of all….I’m excited to be working with you! I will send you an invoice for a 20% booking deposit and once received, your date will be locked in to my calendar. I will then be back in touch to set up a meeting and get the ball rolling!
